Purpose: The Career Studies Certificate in Recovery Specialist prepares students for employment as recovery specialists working with individuals facing substance use disorder, mental illness, or other challenges.

Objectives: NRCC students will be well-trained to support, serve, and educate individuals in recovery from mental illness and/or substance use disorder.

Admission Requirements: All students will be required to demonstrate college readiness through transcript review or informed self-placement. Based on this review, students may be advised to enroll in corequisite math and/or English courses.
