Purpose: The College and University Transfer program is designed for students who plan to complete a baccalaureate degree program at a four-year college or university, or who are not yet prepared to select a definite career objective. The AS Computer Science degree provides the first two years of a guided pathway for students interested in transferring to a four-year college or university and entering the computer science profession.

Transfer Virginia: This degree is aligned with the Transfer Virginia common curriculum for computer science. Students are strongly encouraged to consult their academic advisor and review program options using the Transfer Virginia Portal, https://www.transfervirginia.org.

Objective: NRCC students will transfer to four-year institutions with a foundation of relevant computer science and general education courses.

Admission Requirements: All students will be required to demonstrate college readiness through transcript review or informed self-placement. Based on this review students may be advised to enroll in corequisite math and/or English courses.
