Purpose: This career studies certificate program leads to technician-level employment in the automotive field. This curriculum provides skills and knowledge in automotive drivability and diagnosis of advanced automotive systems. This curriculum provides foundational knowledge in brakes, electrical/electronic and automotive fuel/ignition/emissions systems. Upon completion of the career studies certificate, students are employable as entry-level diagnostic technicians.

Admission Requirements: Applicants should meet the general requirements for admission to the college. Placement tests may be required in some areas.
