Machine Technology Fundamentals I CSC

Purpose:  This career studies certificate leads to entry-level employment in the machining or manufacturing industry. This curriculum provides foundational knowledge in numerical control, machine blueprint reading, machine shop operations, and welding metallurgy.  Upon completion of the career studies certificate, students are employable as basic machine operators, entry-level machinist assistants, deburr technicians, part finisher technicians, manufacturing technicians, machinist trainees, production operators, and shop helpers.

Admission Requirements: Applicants should meet the general requirements for admission to the college. Placement tests may be required in some areas.
