Purpose:  This career studies certificate leads to entry-level employment in the electrical industry. This curriculum provides foundational knowledge in basic electrical concepts, safety, wiring, controls and the National Electrical Code.  Upon completion of the career studies certificate, students are employable as entry-level maintenance workers, electrician’s helpers, and entry-level wiring technicians.

Admission Requirements: Applicants should meet the general requirements for admission to the college. Placement tests may be required in some areas.
