Purpose: This career studies certificate leads to technician-level employment in the machining or manufacturing industry. This curriculum provides advanced training in numerical control, machine blueprint reading, and the technology of machining. Upon completion of the career studies certificate, students are employable as machinists (manual), entry-level CNC machine operators, machinist mechanics, conventional machinists, manufacturing planners, production operators, metal fabricators, and machinist apprentices
Admission Requirements: Applicants should meet the general requirements for admission to the college. Placement tests may be required in some areas.
