MTH 161 PreCalculus I

Prerequisite(s): Competency in MTE UNIT 1, MTE UNIT 2, MTE UNIT 3, MTE UNIT 4, MTE UNIT 5, MTE UNIT 6, MTE UNIT 7, MTE UNIT 8, MTE UNIT 9 as demonstrated through placement or unit completion or equivalent. Co-requisite(s): MCR 6.
Students should determine requirement of 4-year transfer institution prior to selection. Business Administration students may choose MTH 263 as an alternative to MTH 161.

Presents topics in power, polynomial, rational, exponential, and logarithmic functions, and systems of equations and inequalities. Credit will not be awarded for both MTH 161 and MTH 167 or equivalent. Lecture 3 hours. Total 3 hours per week.
